I hypothesized that streamlining REPL interaction might enhance AI performance. I sought to grant Goose comprehensive REPL access while maintaining restrictions on general system commands. Consequently, I developed tmux-repl-mcp, a utility designed to simplify REPL communication. Rather than consuming excessive tokens, executing delay commands, and interpreting tmux data, the system could directly run commands and retrieve outputs.
